Unconscious Places

Unconscious Places presents Thomas Struth’s photographs of streets in all parts of the world: narrow lanes in Edinburgh and Naples, satellite towns in Pyongyang, thoroughfares in Lima and Los Angeles, grand boulevards in St. Petersburg, New York, and Beijing. Frequently devoid of people, Struth’s urban landscapes are also a critical depiction of different human habitats.
